Leeds is a fantastic spot to pay a visit to if you've never been there. It's the largest town in Yorkshire county. Positioned towards the northern part of the county, Leeds citizens are renowned for their robust thick northern accents. It is pretty standard for visitors to have trouble with understanding them.

But don't let that discourage you! Leeds has a reputation for being a great youthful and exhilarating town to visit and investigate.

To start with Leeds is huge on its theatre shows, whether it's for its plays or operas. Besides London, Leeds is the only other UK city to have it's own opera house and royal theatres. If you have a passion for the finer arts of acting, singing and dancing - Leeds is a marvellous destination to pay a visit to.

The main reason that most people go to Leeds though is for the gift buying. The busy town hosts a number of shopping centres, reported to be around five miles worth of outlets!! If shopping is your speciality, one day in just about the most well-known cities in Britain is certain to use up all of the time!

Leeds is occasionally classed as a student town. Not simply because of the huge college which is located in the town however because of the enjoyable night-life which is obtainable to all those who are after a fantastic night out! With countless bars, pubs and clubs; Leeds is a great destination to check out for stag dos and hen nights.

Athletics is yet another frequent feature in Leeds, with a few of the greatest sporting venues in the UK. Headingly is one of the better cricketing stadiums in England and is often utilized for the national sides test matches. Leeds United also have one of the biggest stadiums in the country, playing their football games at Elland Road.

If the hustle and bustle of the town is an excessive amount of and you are looking for something a bit different, luckily Leeds is perfectly located to some wonderful Yorkshire attractions. The Yorkshire Dales are within 20 miles which opens up a enormous opportunity for enjoying the country and charming spectacular views. Coastal towns for example Scarborough are also quite close by, meaning you can have a fantastic active day out with your family, especially in the sunshine!

Leeds is easily accessible from a number of diverse transport methods; including aeroplane, bus and train!
