All About Hookah And Hookah Flavors

by John McCree

Do you need a hookah flavor that fits your taste? Read along to find how you can find a fantastic hookah flavor that fits your taste.

Hookahs are used to smoke flavorful tobacco, mostly called "shisha". The present day shisha consists of all or some of the following things:

1. Tobacco

2. Treacle (uncrystallized syrup produced in refining sugar)

3. Honey

4. Sugar

5. Molasses

6. Glycerin

7. Nicotine

8. Dried Fruit

9. Distilled Water

The manufacturers of shisha have been experimenting a great deal lately and they've developed some really creative flavors like Fantasia's "Cuban Mojito". Having said that, fruit flavors still are the most used flavors among hookah smokers. The vast majority of newer flavors do, however, take their cues from the tried and true traditional fruit flavors. Flavors like Apple pie, blueberry muffin and banana split are among the more popular ones.

Shisha flavors have become versatile due to relative simpleness of flavoring in the course of production. Unique flavors are made because basically every ingredient can be combined in dried, tobacco, glycerin and sweetener.

Social Smoking

Hookah is commonly shared in a social environment where the smokers may gather for friendly conversation and to enjoy the fragrance generated by the flavored shisha smoke. Hookahs grew popular in the Middle Eastern countries very quickly and these smoking devices swiftly became a significant part of all drinking and eating establishments. Today they are seen in places from smoking parlors, to nightclubs, to the house.

A great deal of the increasing popularity of shisha can be ascribed to the flavor and soothing effect of the smoke. People smoke hookah in social gatherings with the key purpose of socializing with friends and not out of addiction. Cigarettes in contrast are addictive and provide a quick fix with a very high dose of nicotine. While a hookah session lasts longer than a cigarette, the former isn't addictive for the smoker.

Getting the Most Flavor from Your Hookah

If you want to improve your hookah experience, then you simply have to adhere to a few basic acts of sound judgment. The first and most important thing is to clean your device regularly. After each smoking session you must wash your hookah. It is better to wash hookah with warm water than with cold water.

In order to enjoy a smooth smoking session then you need to prevent the charcoal from burning up the tobacco in the middle of the session. The tobacco should not get stuck to the foil, even better, the tobacco shouldn't even touch the aluminum foil. When you are packing the bowl, ensure that the tobacco is at least a few millimeters below the rim of the bowl. Then, when you wrap the aluminum foil taught around the head, you'll obviously have the desired amount of space required to prevent the dreaded burn. You can also place two toothpicks crossed on top of the mound to ensure space between the shisha and foil. Tobacco shouldn't be packed down too tightly in the bowl. Instead, loosely pile it into a fine mound allowing the air to go through the mound. This will also stop the tobacco from burning as easily, and it will require less suction on the hose to get a nice, full flavorful hit. If desired you may even use two sheets of foil to help prevent against overheating. The specific game here is: KEEP IT THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DON'T BURN THE SHISHA!

There was a time when only one tobacco flavor was available for hookah. However, today the market offers a very wide range of flavors. If you are a hookah lover then you must try all shisha flavors available.
