Thoughts of Jacksonville natural landmarks hint at sun, oranges, and miles of Atlantic beaches, but there are natural concealed treasures as well as the shore. From The Bluffs to Bone yard beach, Jacksonville is the best place stay for easy accessibility to natural landmarks in Jacksonville both in the town centre and in all the surrounding areas. There is so much to see and explore.

Guana Pine State Park and Wildlife Management

Guana State Park is one of Florida's most attractive Natural Landmarks. To truly capture the wealth of wonder this town holds one must really step foot on the grounds of this learning State Park. Take a walk or go hunting in the chosen areas of the park. Explore the flatwoods and overlooks of the Tolomato Stream. There are marshes teaming with animal life, and so very much more. See the orange shades of the Coquina Rock which are formations from the ice age, and 100% unique to the area because of Jacksonville's red clay! Take it nice and easy, go fishing or shelling on the shell bluff. Put the ship in the water and fish for a while. There are so very many amazing things worth doing here. It is hard to go.

The Talbot Islands

Both Small Talbot Island and Gigantic Talbot Island State Reserve natural landmarks in Jacksonville hold natural miracles that talk straight to the heart. On little Talbot Island there are the dune ridges superb for hiking, fauna in its own underdeveloped habitat, indescribably awesome scenery, sea marshes and so much more. While on Big Talbot you have the Big Pine Trail, The Black Rock Trail and Jones Cut Trail which may take you thru the Maritime Forest. Don't miss out on visitng these islands because their natural beauty offers the perfect escape from the city for the day.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park

The Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is about 17 miles from Jacksonville where shelling and surfing are common activities. The park is on 450 acres with 1.5 miles of beach. There is another stunning beach, shaded RV spots, showers, and bike or hike trails.

St. Johns River

One can not mention Jacksonville without discussing St Johns River. It is known to the neighbors as the Jacksonville Brook. There aren't any sellers, it has security, plenty of places to eat or shop, and holds the most monumental perspectives of the sunrise known to man. It is a clean, secure place to indulge in fishing, snorkeling, on the water activities or to just mooch along the river-walk. Don't miss out on this fun place!

The Florida Caverns State Park

Jacksonville natural landmarks is composed of lush plant life, attractive rivers and beaches. With about an hours drive through some astounding scenery The Florida Caves is a total must see. It's a state park in Mariana, Florida that's habitat to everything from Manatees to a bobcat. They offer tours of the caves, filled with fantastic formations, and found off the Chipolia River. There are clean water Springs, it's just wonderful. It is teaming with wild life and plant life. This is a place that becomes in part a piece of a mans soul. There are plenty of pursuits like camping and horseback riding. There is actually a golf course for a vacation from the holiday. The experiences will last a life time. Warranted an escapade is waiting for the whole family, but reservations have to be made beforehand, so don't forget to make them!

Coquina Rock Formations

Saint Augustine, Florida is neighbor to Jacksonville and is legendary for natural beauty and excitement. Here lies the Coquina Rock Formations formed of fossils and shells, Unlike Coral which are a cousin to the jellyfish and classified as marine life, the holes in the Coquina Rock are where trees really attempted to take root and grow. White sandy beaches and marshes lie in the mist of this amazing place.
