Cornwall is arguably the UK's most diverse holiday destination, for nowhere else can you find dramatic rural terrain, fantastic beaches, incredible surfing, amazing attractions, and towns of historical interest - all rounded off with the finest weather you can find on these isles. That's a bit of a tall order - but I am happy to say there is one region in the UK that more than accommodates such a quest. The area is Cornwall and it ticks many, many holiday-search boxes. What is more, Cornwall, and Crylla Valley in particular, has such diversity it makes it a great holiday destination for families young and old, romantic-break couples, or groups of friends looking for some weekend fun.

Everyone loves a beach, and Cornwall is blessed with some of the sandiest and widest, making it easy for everyone to find their own patch of gold to lie back or play on; that's because the Cornish coastline is the longest in the whole of Britain. Here you will find some glorious beaches such as the picturesque one in Seaton, just 8 miles from Crylla Valley, or wander over to the Bay of Whitsand and its three miles of beach and fantastic surfing or bodyboarding. If they don't take your fancy there's the beach and harbour at Looe to enjoy, the place famous for its fish and chips, pasties and ice cream. Again, Looe is just 28 minutes by car from Crylla Valley.

For the more serious surfer mention must be made of Fistral, renowned for its breathtaking breaks and swirls, and for those who enjoy a touch of history and nostalgia there's the smuggling and fishing tales of old to savour at Kingsand and Cawsand, the twin villages on the Rame Peninsula.
