Jobs are scarce due to the economy. Many of the blue-collared jobs have been eliminated and businesses use only the minimal amount of employees to get the work done. But, thinking outside the box can help you get a job when you need it the most. Most people may not consider carnival employment as a viable job. Working on a cruise ship provides lots of opportunity that many do not know.

Something important to consider about this working on a cruise liner would be your health. Many people have motion sickness and if you work on the ship, it can become worse. Seasickness, however, can be easily countered with medicine and therapy. If you can counteract this minor condition, you may want to consider a job on the ship that is known as engineering. Engineers help to maintain and steer the ship and the rights way.

Next are maintenance, deck hands, and officers. These individuals help the ship to sail out from port without fail. They also maintain the cleanliness of the deck, assist the captain with sailing, and check the motors and engines of the ship. They are also required to keep the vessel in check with the fleet regulations and maritime laws.

Being on a party ship opens up a vast amount of opportunities for anyone. More than likely, these cruise liners tend to have bars, restaurants, and entertainment. With those features open to consumers, you know they will need bartenders, dancers, musicians, and restaurant staff. The only thing to remember with this opportunity is that you may be at sea for weeks at a time.

Concession stands and gift shops are also another common thing found on most cruise liners. With that said, many of these shops will require a sales clerk. If a salesclerk is a job you can do, you have to understand you will be in charge of stocking items before moving out to sea. You also have to have good people skills and a way to make regular sales on a cruise ship.

Most of the exotic jobs encompass managers, disc jockeys, exotic dancers and sometimes casino staff. These jobs are especially desired since it means travel and fun at the same time. Many cruise liners will have a casino onboard to entice their consumers to come back for another vacation.

Say for example that you are a freelance videographer or photographer. You can also find some great work on a cruise liner by providing your freelance services. Many of the consumers on the cruise will want to cherish the memories they made on their trip. So, cruise ship owners will pay a photographer or videographer to work on their boat and offer their services to their passengers.
