Some of the best fishing anywhere can be found in the north woods. Eagle River is a good example because its lakes contain an abundance of bass, walleye, and musky. Spring Green is home to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, where you can experience the work of this master architect first hand. Just down the road from Taliesin there is a wonderful professional classic theater in a natural outdoor amphitheater. You do not want to miss having a beer at one of the local micro breweries.

For those who love golf, Lake Geneva offers some first class greens. It is a short drive from the Chicago area. There are steam ship rides, a great renaissance fair, concerts and casinos. There is something for everybody in the Lake Geneva area.

Madison is the state capitol and the Capitol is a scale replica of our nation's capitol. You should definitely take one of the free tour. Madison is an Isthmus. Its three lakes are perfect for fishing, swimming and boating. Stroll down State Street and visit the quaint shops. Hike out to Picnic Point on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. Some of the best ice cream anywhere can be found in Madison. Ice cream, bratwurst, and beer - now there's a combination!

Devil's Lake, located in Baraboo, is one of the favorite state parks. It is a bottomless, crystal clear lake with towering rock cliffs surrounding its shoreline. Rock climbers come from around the world for these cliffs. The hiking is fantastic too. The Indians believed that Devil's lake was inhabited by spirits. It is understandable why they believed this beautiful spot was enchanted.
