South Africa; An Outstanding Holiday Choice

South Africa; An Outstanding Holiday Choice

by Kyle Olsen

South Africa is one of the most popular holiday locations globally. Granted, summer is the most popular time of year as this time of year is dry and warm, which allows for plenty to do and see, for all age groups.

Cape Town is called the Mother City and matches some of the most gorgeous cities in the world. And just to make the point stronger, Cape Town has gained award after award for World's Cleanest Beach and Africa's Leading Destination, just to mention 2 ... of the twenty two awards!

So then, what is there to do in Cape Town? Well, Cape Town has the splendid Table Mountain, which vacationers can go up in the cable cars and enjoy the magnificent views. In the summer season, you can even delight in a picnic on top of the mountain or hike up the mountain. On clear days, the views are awesome and ideal for taking the most lovely pics. Cape Town alone makes holidays to South Africa so worth the journey! Nevertheless, there is much, much more to see and experience.

When you visit South Africa, you need to make time to check out some of the beaches. We have 3 "Blue Flag" beaches around Cape Town. They are a few of the cleanest, whitest and most lovely beaches on the planet. The water temperature depends on which beach you check out, so be aware of that. For example, along the West Coast, the waters are freezing but excellent for surfing (in some spots), if you are brave enough, and in Gordon's Bay, the water is warm and pleasant to swim in. When you visit and are with a tourist guide, then he or she will recommend a beach regarding warm and cold water beaches. If you are traveling by yourself, then Google will be a great help, but then so will the locals, if you ask somebody, as they are extremely friendly and laid back.

An additional landmark of Cape Town is the V&A (Victoria and Alfred) Waterfront, which has a large shopping center with a huge and really diverse , food court. At night, the waterfront transforms into a wonderland of sound and light as the dining establishments fill up and live bands can be heard everywhere. You can even book a meal on a floating dining establishment and delight in the waterfront view from the deck of a boat.

We are a South African based company that has an outstanding track record that has actually advised lots of vacationers, as well as South Africans, of the very best holiday areas in and around South Africa.
