Unforgettable Travelling to Sharjah

Unforgettable Travelling to Sharjah

by Lily Stanford

Sharjah is a suburb of the city of Dubai, and it is a wonderful place to visit. Many of the people who live here are working in Dubai, where they can find the better roles. They have made Sharjah their home due to the cheaper cost of living. Visit Sharjah and enjoy it's attractions with cheap car rental service. The area is beautiful, with a peninsula which has the Persian Gulf on one side and the Gulf of Oman on the other. All of the city's buildings are done by qualified architects, making a wonderful skyline without the major skyscrapers of other cities.

There are that many things worth doing and see while in Sharjah. A great way to start, and get an understanding of the area, is by walking along The Corniche. Here you'll pass stylish mosques, the Sharjah Fort, the heritage area, the humanities area, and The Museum of Islamic Culture. This will also give you a glimpse of the local fisherman and the pleasant sights of the boats on the crystal clear waters. Behind The Corniche are the numerous Souqs. These are glorious places to watch the local culture.

Activities abound here. With 21 parks and gardens to enjoy, and one or two green fields set up for games like basketball and soccer, there is something for everyone. Add to this the many beaches like Al Khan Lagoon, Corniche Beach, Al Kahn Beach, Hamriyah Lagoon, and Khorfalken. Take part in swimming, diving, fishing, and playing in the sand.

Diving is particularly popular because the perspectives under water in Sharjah are easily as beautiful as the ones on land. One cannot visit here without a ride on the Center of the Emirates. This 60 meter high Ferris wheel takes passengers up and around in air conditioned compartments where you get an amazing view of both Shajah and Dubai as well as the encircling gulfs.

In order to make your stay as pleasing as practical there are a few tips you'll wish to follow. Though Sharjah is among the safest towns in this bit of the world, use common-sense. Keep a watch on belongings, and keep a look out for bag snatchers. This town is quite liberal when it comes to their lady, matched against others. Even allowing for that kindly respect their culture by wearing loose fitting clothing and avoid exposing swim suits. An added perk, tipping is not customary here.
