There are often a number of cruises related to deep sea fishing and viewing majestic sea creatures available on the East and West Coast. In one case, Two Harbors tours on the West coast offers a trip in which those aboard can explore Whale Watching Catalina Island. For, while the trip is focused on whale watching, there is also a two hour layover on the island.

In either case, the Atlantic and Pacific offer a plethora of opportunities for deep sea fishing and viewing majestic sea creatures. When it comes to Two Harbor cruises on the West coast, those aboard one of the cruise ships often view not only whales but other sea creatures and wildlife. In addition, unlike other cruises of this nature, Two Harbors allows those aboard to spend a few hours perusing Catalina Island as part of the excursion.

When it comes to the two hour layover on the island, there are a number of options for dining and shopping. While this is the case, it is important that those traveling aboard the cruise return to the ship at the pick-up time provided. Otherwise, it can be quite costly for a return on the Catalina Flyer when missing the return trip.

The return trip is where most of the whale watching and wildlife viewing takes place. For example, there are often migrating Grey whales and occasional sightings of large Orcas on the return to Newport. Whereas, one of the main focus of the initial departure is the trip to Catalina Island. In either case, it is not uncommon to see majestic bald eagles and other shore birds catching fish along the shoreline.

After which, the cruise returns back to home port on the mainland of Southern California. Once arriving back in Newport Harbor around 6 p. M., it is the perfect time of day to catch a nice dinner and watch the sunset over the harbor. For, while fun, touring Catalina Island and viewing the many magical creatures whether on land or sea can often be an enjoyable though tiring experience.

Pricing for the excursion can often vary depending on discounts and time of year. For, different times of year can be better for whale watching then others. At the same time, it is often rare that individuals take a cruise in which there is not some aspect of sea or wildlife viewing available. Whereas, the snack bar is open on each and every cruise with light snacks and lunches available for a nominal fee.

When it comes to eating and seating aboard the vessel, indoor and outdoor seating is available, with the outdoor seating accommodating approximately 30 individuals on a sundeck. Whereas, for those desiring a small snack or minimal lunch, there is a snack bar with food and drink available for a nominal fee. While this is the case, it should be noted that there are a number of restaurants on Catalina Island which offer amazing choices and lunch specials.

Two Harbors like most cruise companies can not be held responsible for individuals whom miss a departure or return trip. As such, anyone requiring a return trip is solely responsible for the cost. Whereas, those whom miss a departure are not allowed a refund or to board a future cruise without purchasing a new ticket. In addition, if and when needing to cancel reservations, it is required that guests do so 48 hours in advance to obtain a full refund.
