Tips For Your Trip To NYC

Tips For Your Trip To NYC

by Joseph Tranturder

For some reason, the state of Connecticut does not always make the list of places that people want to vacation too or even spend time in. But these people are greatly mistaken if they believe that there is nothing to do in Connecticut.

Broadway

There is no end to the amount of television, movie and musical references we could say to remind you just how famous and important Broadway is in New York City life and culture. But more importantly, as my father once said, "You can't NOT go see a musical on Broadway when you're in New York." Tickets are available online, at the location, or in a raffle in front of each musical's individual theater. Depending on the time of year and the musical you are trying to see, raffles can be an easy way to win tickets at a highly discounted rate.

Central Park

Second is Boston. Boston is famous for more than just its tea party. Home to the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and several other major league level sports that have not only done well in their respective leagues, but have excelled. There is always a game going on somewhere in Boston that you can become a part of.

This ferry ride, about an hour and a half long, takes passengers from the Connecticut city of Bridgeport to the New York city of Port Jefferson. Because it is a ferry, passengers can take their vehicles on board with them so they can drive themselves around Port Jefferson and the surrounding area.

Other attractions in Fairfield County include the popular Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport. The Adventure Park and the Discovery Museum as a whole are great places for a family to visit while on vacation.

Transportation

From the hotel package deal transportation is available to Grand Central Station in New York City. From there, transportation such as taxis or subways can take you anywhere from Time's Square to the airport. It is recommended to buy a Metro card to use during your stay as it would be more expensive to buy individual tickets every time you take it. Do not forget to never bend it or it will be void.

To ensure that your trip to New York City can go without a hitch, plan ahead and remember the best boutique hotel just a short ride away in Stamford, Connecticut: Hotel Zero Degrees.
