The other courses are usually more intensive as there is more to learn such as navigating and safety procedures. The take normally about 4 days which you are able to do in two blocks so as not to interfere with your work schedule.
Finding a course is not difficult at all. All you need to do is ask around and one of your friends will no doubt have been to an outdoor centre that offered those courses. It's a good way to also find out how good they were.
Search engines are another way to look for a sailing course provider but you need to remember that the website at the top is not necessarily the best or the cheapest. This means that you should really take a few numbers down to find out which can offer you the best deal.
It is also definitely worthwhile to haggle a bit if you feel confident enough. The best way to do this is to come from a strong point such as having already got a cheaper quote from someone else and want them to either match it or beat it.

If you had not already heard, I will tell you: Copenhagen is a fantastic place!
A lot of people think of The Little Mermaid and The Tivoli Gardens when you mention Copenhagen or Denmark, but there's obviously much more to this beautiful capital than fairy tales and pastry!
I am a Dane, who lived in this city for almost 10 years, and decided to share some of the cool sights and activities in this city that you do not see in all the travel guides.
Ok, let's get to my 5 recommendations for cool things to do and see in this capital of Denmark.
1. Parks: Copenhagen is dotted with green areas. If you live here you are never more than five minutes away from a beautiful park. If you are spending more days here, then have a stroll in Kongens Have (Kings Garden), HC Orsteds Parken, Botanisk Have (Botanical Garden), or Frederiksberg Have. These are all good for enjoying the sun or having a beer - this is what the Copenhageners will be doing if the weather is nice.
2. Norrebro Neighborhood: Norrebro is the most ethnically diverse area in the city and has a very cool feel to it. There're some very trendy streets here for going shopping, looking for art or going out. The streets we prefer are Jaegersborgsgade, Blagardsgade, Elmegade, and the cemetery, Assistentens Kirkegaard, where Soren Kierkegaard is buried. Also stop by the newly opened 'Superkilen' - a quite impressive square that is painted red.
3. Water: Copenhagen resides by the sea, and it is possibly one of the few larger cities where you are allowed to swim in the harbor areas - there is also a nice beach. Islands Brygge is one of the up-and-coming areas in the city, and it has a very popular grass area where people are enjoying the sun and hanging out, while going in and out of the 'pool' in the harbor. If you rate the beach higher, then go to the big beach park at 'Amager Strandpark'. We are in Scandinavia, obviously, so unluckily we will not see 150 days of pool weather a year, but we try to make the best of the summer, for as long as it's there.
4. Malmo: Wait, isn't Malmo in Sweden? It sure is, but it is only a short train ride over the bridge. Many people in Copenhagen consider the Swedish neighbor as a suburb and it is a good option for a day-trip of shopping and sightseeing. Prices are slightly lower in Malmo, so that is obviously a great motivation to go, as Copenhagen is famous for its inflated prices.
5. Vesterbro neighborhood: Another neighborhood that used to be quite rough, and known for its red light district, but now a hipster paradise with great shopping and cafes. The main activity is on Istedgade - a street famous for its sex shops and prostitutes some years back. It still exists, but is now mainly confined to a few streets close to the train station.
